The weather right now is very unpredictable. We are in the middle of rainy season, which means it rains almost every day. Getting stuck in one of these downpours is pretty awful! Even with an umbrella, my shoes and backpack will get soaked, and this makes for a long walk back home. After the rains clear up, the sun comes right back out and it gets hot and humid again.
During the day, I saw some lizards. These lizards are bigger than the ones you would see at home. I think the largest one I have seen so far was about a foot long! There are also a lot of dogs that wander during the day. It is hard to tell if they are someone's pet or if they are stray dogs. I want to pet them all, no matter where they come from!
During the night, the bats come out. Those are pretty interesting to watch and listen to. They will fly really close to you, but never close enough to touch. You can also hear their chirps if it is quiet enough outside.
