My name is Olivia Panda and I grew up in a small town in Central Florida called DeLand. I lived there with my mom, dad and little sister. In high school, I was involved in a lot of school organizations, but my favorite part of the day was always going to work at a preschool after my own school day ended. I have always wanted to be a teacher, and working at the preschool gave me a lot of great experience before I even started college! I love my town, and I feel so lucky that I was able to grow up in a real community. But I was also very excited to experience something different when I started college.
I started school at Florida Southern College in August of 2015. At first, being away from home for the first time and learning to live in a completely different environment was very difficult, but I grew to love my school and all the things I got to participate in while I was there. During college, I was involved in many different campus ministry organizations, a sorority, student government, I worked at the library on campus and I worked with the college admissions team. Working with the admissions team was one of the best decisions I made during my college career. I got to meet so many new people and to help them see all the amazing things about the school that I loved so much.
