Farewell!

I don't know how many hours I have spent wandering in and around this station, people watching at cafes or debating over food options. This station is just beautiful and over one hundred years old!

This fourth picture is of me picking tangerines at my grandparents' house in the countryside. I go out there almost every month, taking a nearly two-hour train ride to get there. I really enjoy spending time with them and getting to help around the garden. After we had picked the tangerines, we made fresh tangerine juice which was so delicious!

This fifth photo is of me in the snow. This was when my friend and I had gone up north in December to stay at a traditional Japanese inn. I didn’t realize how fun it would be to play in the snow! I sure will miss this when I go home to sunny Hawai’i!

This last picture is when I went to a shrine (a shrine is a place that is regarded as holy) that was for people who wanted to learn! This shrine is really popular with students who want to get into college or are working toward some goal related to learning. Because I am here in Japan to learn, I thought it would be good to pay it a visit.

This wraps up my recap of many of my favorite things. I hope that you all can someday explore the world and find your favorite things away from home too. Good luck with your own adventures, fourth graders!

Sincerely,

Hina
