One of my favorite stores is actually Poundland which is where, you guessed it, everything is only a Pound (the Pound is the name of the currency in the U.K.)! It's very similar to a Dollar Tree back in the U.S. where you can find anything and everything there.
Another amazing thing about being here in the U.K. is being able to travel anywhere at the drop of a hat. Just in the three weeks I have been here, I've traveled all over Oxford, London, Stonehenge and Windsor! It is so easy to just take a day-trip anywhere and see something amazing! The U.K. has many forms of transportation that you can take advantage of to get where you need to go. My favorite is the trains because they're so fast and it's so easy to sit back and relax on them. You can also take a bus anywhere. Most buses are coach buses that have comfy seats, wifi and cell phone plugs to make travel a breeze. My favorite place that I have been so far would probably be Stonehenge just because of the amazing history that is there and because the town Stonehenge is in (Salisbury), has lots of interesting things to do and see besides just Stonehenge.
Even though integrating into my community hasn't always been easy, it's something I'm definitely getting the hang of as I spend more time in Oxford and the U.K. in general. It might even help me learn how to be an adult along the way!
