I cannot believe how quickly our time together has gone! I have loved this chance to meet each and every one one of you during our video calls, and I have loved writing to you about my time here in Paraguay. From sharing updates about the turtles to explaining typical Paraguayan food, I have really enjoyed sharing the rich culture and experiences that Paraguay has to offer.
During my time abroad, I have learned so much more about the world. Not only have I started to improve my Spanish language skills, but I have also engaged in discussions with people from different backgrounds and with different perspectives. These have been incredibly important conversations for me, as they have taught me more about the world and allowed me to see how life is different in different places. But at the same time, I have also found that there are many things that make people similar. Despite cultural and language differences, we are much more similar than we might think at first! For instance, we all love our families, appreciate tasty food and have similar desires for good education and health. Travelling is one way that we can learn more about people and see how important it is to continually have conversations with others from different backgrounds.
