A Day with Jehanne

Introduction:

Hello! My name is Jehanne, and I am a 10-year-old Belizean girl living in the Corozal District of Belize. My birthday is February 21, and my favorite colors are pink and purple. I attend a Catholic public school with my younger brother Daniel. I also have an older sister whom I live with. I was happy to sit for an interview about my life here in Belize, so read along to find out more!

What do you eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner?:

For breakfast, I enjoy eating pancakes with strawberries and syrup. I don't eat that every day, but it is one of my favorites. For lunch, I come home from school to a delicious meal cooked by my mom. Every day, it is something different, but I enjoy her chirmole (or black soup) the best, especially the eggs. In the evening, for dinner, I usually have eggs scrambled with sausage (or hot dogs, as some would say), with soft cheese and white bread. Some people eat avocado with their dinner, but I do not like it.

What is your house like?:

My family lives in a cement house with two bedrooms, a living room, a bathroom, a kitchen and a dining area. I like how spacious my house is. I share a room with my big sister. We sleep on bunk beds, and our room is pink and white. Some of the windows are made of wooden slats, and some are made with sliding glass. We live next to my dad's car shop, so it can be noisy often.
