It was a beautiful sunny week in New Zealand. We were lucky to get good weather because right before we left Sydney to fly to Queenstown, a town on the south island of New Zealand, the weather forecast said that it would be cloudy and windy for most of our trip.
We saw alpacas, sheep and cows on farms that were next to the roads in New Zealand.
I was so excited to see an alpaca in person for the very first time. Their fur is soft and they are really friendly with humans.
It was very cold when we hiked near the Rob Roy Glacier, which is in the Mount Aspiring National Park. I got to swim in the river where the water came from the melting glacier. The glacier was right above us in the mountains. We hiked to see it up-close later that day.
