I had the most fun seeing the ruins of an ancient Roman City in Jerash, in particular, seeing the Temple of Artemis. When I was younger, I absolutely loved learning about Greek mythology, and seeing in real time the architecture made to worship these gods felt like a full-circle moment!
Since my study abroad program focuses on geopolitics, I have been reading a lot of published research papers and articles on the history of Jordan and its political role in the Middle East. Some books that I would personally recommend if you are interested in learning more about Middle Eastern history are, The Peace to End All Peace by David Fromkin, and A History of the Arab Peoples by Albert Hourani.
As I have been fasting since Ramadan began, I have not had much energy to play many sports or games. However, before Ramadan, there are a few kids who live in my apartment who would play football (soccer in America) outside, and I would join them for a round. In Jordan, football is a much loved sport, and Jordanians are very proud of their nationalteam.
