The weather is very cold in the morning and at night. Temperatures start to warm up around noon. It is the beginning of the winter season here in Botswana, so temperatures are expected to get even colder! To compare, it is summer in the U.S.
I have seen monkeys on campus. Monkeys here are our version of squirrels in the U.S., They are everywhere!
The coolest thing I saw this week are the monkeys near my dorm. I'm not used to having monkeys in such a close range. They are so free here!
Elephants are a big problem in Africa. There are so many that they cannot be controlled. A lot of people lose their homes and crops because of these large animals. Currently, Africa is trying to come up with ways to protect elephants and the people who live near elephants.
