During my time in Europe, I've been able to explore everything from local markets to large shopping centers, and even try some of the best food of my life!
One of the things I've enjoyed most about traveling around Europe has been discovering how shopping can be so different from the United States, yet surprisingly similar in other ways. So far, I've visited Spain and Portugal, and one of the biggest things I've noticed in almost every city is the number of souvenir shops. These stores are filled with items connected to the city, including magnets, postcards, clothing, and other fun souvenirs that visitors can take home to remember their trips.
One of my favorite things about these shops is finding merchandise related to soccer, or fútbol, as it's called in Spanish. You'll often find jerseys, miniature trophies, scarves, and other items representing famous teams like Real Madrid and Barcelona. However, what I enjoy most is finding jerseys from local teams that might not be as well-known internationally. I've actually started collecting a soccer jersey from every city or country I visit! Many of these jerseys aren't authentic, but they look very similar and feel almost the same.
