The government is still working on legislation that can help these people that may be removed from their current homes or who may be already homeless. The government spent a lot of time on it while people continue to remain unhoused. Additionally, some of the ideas that some members of the government are proposing will not help the homeless population of Dublin, but, in fact, will only make things worse for the Dublin homeless population. While the government is failing to meet its need to help the Dublin homeless population, members of my community at my school, University College Dublin (UCD), are stepping up. Once a week, there is a group of students that go out and provide meals and money to homeless people in Dublin, so they can buy themselves things that they need. Remember: you can make an impact, no matter who you are.
