I left Malta at midnight and the direct flight to Israel took about three hours. It's geographically very close to Malta, but unfortunately, the only direct flights are at terrible times so it makes the trip more exhausting.
During my time in Malta, I have visited Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain and Israel. I am hoping to plan a few more trips before I leave at the end of June.
I spent most days walking around Tel Aviv because there are very nice walking paths everywhere! I also took the train and the bus out of the city to visit Jerusalem, the Dead Sea, Mount Masada, Ein Gedi and Haifa.
I spent a couple of days exploring Jerusalem, and the old city looked exactly like what I have seen in the movies. This was my first time to the Middle East, so I had never seen anything like it before. My favorite place was the Western Wall, which is a very holy site where many go to pray and leave wishes and prayers. The men and women are separated, and after you walk up to the wall, you must back away slowly so as to not turn your back on it. It was a very beautiful site to see, and it felt very powerful. I left a note with my own wishes.
