While I did not have to travel too far, on Friday my friends and I traveled to Echterdingen, a nearby town with a Japanese restaurant. It was 34 kilometers away, or approximately 21 miles.
If I include my trip to Milan and the flight from home, I've probably traveled about 6,352 kilometers, or just under 4,000 miles total.
I often got around with the bus, though for closer trips I took my bike around the city. When we went a bit further to Echterdingen I rode a Zug, which is the German word for train.
I had some friends visit me from Dresden, a larger city in East Germany last week and as I was giving them the grand tour of Tübingen we went back and checked out the Schloss (Castle) here. Since my last visit I had forgotten how big and grand it really felt from the front gate.
