Dear Ms. Whitcomb's class,
Wow! It's been a great few months, but unfortunately our time together is coming to an end. I've really enjoyed sharing my journey abroad with you all. Your great questions and curiosity have given me a lot to think about after our calls, and sharing stories from Norway has allowed me to reflect on my time here. I still have about one month left in Norway, but I wanted to share some final thoughts with you all as I prepare to wrap up my journey.
Starting something new is always a little scary, no matter if it's moving to a new school, trying a new sport or tasting a new food. My journey in Norway has been filled with "news". I met new people, saw new places, and lived life in a new culture. When I first arrived in Norway I was super nervous. I was all alone in a different country, far away from everyone I knew back home. The first couple weeks were definitely challenging. I'd get very frustrated when I took the wrong bus or when I didn't have anything to do after work, but something that really helped me was to see every day as an adventure. Change is hard, but if you trust yourself and see the little challenges as an opportunity to learn, everything can seem a bit easier.
Living in Norway has been an incredible experience in so many ways.
