Hei ja tervetuloa! Hi and welcome! My name is Jenna Fazio and I grew up in Livonia, New York! I am 22, and in May I graduated from Villanova University with a computer engineering degree. This past spring, I received a Fulbright scholarship through the Fulbright Finland Foundation to pursue my master's degree. With this scholarship, I am currently taking classes at Lappeenranta's University of Technology (LUT) in Finland to get a master's degree in Sociotechnical Systems and Sustainability Transitions and a minor in Finnish. This master's degree focuses on ways to be more sustainable, address current issues in society today concerning climate change, and how to fix these by creating policy.
I moved to Lappeenranta in August, fulfilling a lifelong dream of mine to live and study abroad for some time to learn the language, culture, and traditions of a different country. I value the impact that happens to someone when one learns from others and how they have different perspectives. With this, I have made it a goal of mine to travel to other countries within Europe including Italy, France, and Poland, as well as a few others to learn about these cultures firsthand, and to see what they hold most dear to their daily life, which I will use during my time while studying in Finland.
