I interviewed two of my closest Finnish friends about their lives in Finland. Their responses are separated by number.
1. Eija Valkealahti
2. Ellaroosa Rokka
1. I live in Lappeenranta, South Carelia, Finland. My house is a studio on the fifth floor with a two-kilometer walk to my university. I have two tables: one for studying and the other for hobbies such as jigsaw puzzles, a bed and some closets.
2. I currently live in Lappeenranta, Finland. I have lived here since August 2020. I live in a student apartment in the city center with my partner.
1. I have parents living in another part of the country, in South Ostrobothnia. I don’t have any siblings. I live alone, but my partner stays at my place most of the time.
2. I have two parents—mom and dad—and an brother three years older than me. They live across the country, but we try to see each other at least every few months. Even though we don’t see that often, we’re close.
