Spaniards have a very healthy diet. A lot of their meals include vegetables and fruits. First, they eat the main course and then after, they eat a second course. Finally, they eat dessert or postre. Meals are eaten three times a day at very specific times. There is breakfast around 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m., then there is lunch (which they do not call almuerzo; they literally say "vamos a comer" or "a comer" which translates as "let's eat"). Lunch is eaten at 3:00 p.m., and then dinner is eaten at 9:00 p.m.
I ate rice and some sort of soup with chicken and potatoes. I enjoyed it and you can see a photo here too.
When I tried this soup, I felt close to home because some Ghanaian meals (which I also eat in the U.S. because that is what my mom cooks) also consist of a soup with meat and rice. It's yummy!
This soup is prepared on the stove with fresh ingredients from the market.
Yes, this soup tasted fresh because a lot of its ingredients are locally produced.
