Hello, students!
My name is Jess and I am a 28-year-old teacher living and working in Barranquilla, Colombia! I am from Minneapolis, Minnesota and I taught elementary school there for five years before accepting a Fulbright grant and coming to teach here in Colombia. I teach at a university in the city of Barranquilla called La Corporación Universitaria Americana Barranquilla, and although I like working with the college-age students, I miss working with younger learners. That's why I can't wait to get to know you!
I have wanted to live somewhere outside of the United States my whole life and I am so happy to be living my dream! In Colombia, I'll get to explore, practice speaking and listening in a different language and learn about a culture other than my own every day. I am so excited to see what adventures life brings our way over the coming weeks!
