Traveler Bio

안녕하세요 (Hello)! My name is Jessie and I am from Seattle, Washington! I am 26 years old and recently graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Environmental Science. I learned all about plants and animals, and conserving the wonderful species we co-exist with on Earth. I hope to connect with others and share the importance of protecting our delicate ecosystems as a global team.

During my senior year of college, I applied for a Fulbright to be an English teacher in South Korea. I have always been interested in learning how other people live and experience life. My Korean cousins-in-laws introduced me to Korean culture at a young age and I was fascinated with how different South Korean culture was from America and wanted to learn more. I got accepted into Fulbright and now I am an English teaching assistant at an all-boys High School in South Korea experiencing the culture first-hand. Traveling to another country is worth the discomfort it may bring because it is an extremely valuable experience to learn about yourself and others. You will probably find that we are all more similar than you think. I am excited to embark on this digital journey with you!
