My flight home from Thailand to the U.S. was on December 12th and I felt that I could leave saying that I regretted nothing about going to Thailand and taking a leap of faith to study abroad in this country. This experience of sharing my time in Thailand with you was very different for me. I don't have a lot of experience working with people younger than me, so I hope that my submissions and our video chats have had a positive impact on all of you. Hopefully one day, if you have the desire or dream, you can travel the world, too. There are so many things to see out there and stepping out of your comfort zone, even if it's only in your own community, can be one of the best ways to help you grow as an individual. This opportunity to write for and speak to your classroom, seeing your excitement and interest every time we spoke, was heartwarming. My experience with you has inspired me to think about working with kids somehow for a while after graduation. My wishes for you are to stay strong and finish school no matter what happens so you will have accomplished something important, made yourself and your family proud and given yourself a good place to start building the life you want to have.
