It's a strange kind of feeling: that you've completely uprooted yourself, even just temporarily, just to experience something new. I was worried I'd be the that American impeding on the lives of the Irish, but I've really come to a feel a sense of home here.
As I enter my last two weeks in Ireland, I think of everything I'm going to miss. Cooking with my flatmates. The big, beautiful bus with its green extorier and two floors. Wandering around Dublin streets. And I'll miss being able to share it with all of you. You've been as much a part of this journey, and I hope someday you will get the chance to go abroad (and remember, the Gilman Scholarship is always there).
It's been an honor to bring you along, and I wish you all the best with classes, college and everything else! As the Irish would say, slán (goodbye)!
