I have been traveling a lot recently and have quite a few trips coming up as well. So this week I stayed close to home! That didn’t stop me from going all over the city to spend time with my friends and visit my favorite mall in my free time.
In the past seven months, I have traveled over 7,000 miles to get settled in Taiwan, then over 4,000 miles to Singapore and Malaysia then back to Taiwan. I have traveled over 3,000 miles around Taiwan itself on various trips. I don’t think I have ever travelled this much in such a short time in my whole life and I doubt I will have the chance to do anything like it ever again!
I rely entirely on public transportation and walking so I buy a pass each month for unlimited bus and MRT (subway) rides. I use those modes of transit as often as possible, especially with the warmer temperatures and near-constant rain.
Even though I have lived in Taipei for over half a year, I am always discovering new places! This week, I was in the mood for a coffee to sit and enjoy while I read a book. I stumbled across a cafe that was decorated to look like an old train station!
