It may not surprise you that the main language spoken in Spain is Spanish. However, there are four more official languages from different regions in Spain. They are called Catalan, Aranese, Basque and Galician.
Like most of Europe, Spain uses a currency called the Euro. The Euro is represented by the symbol “€” and is sometimes abbreviated by the letters "EUR."
A bottle of water in Spain costs only 0.67€, which is about 69 cents. When you order water at a restaurant or cafe, it always comes in a plastic bottle instead of a cup or glass.
The best meal I had was called fideuà, a Spanish seafood pasta dish. It’s seasoned with lemon and full of all kinds of seafood. Mine had shrimp, squid, white fish and mussels. We ordered one big serving from a sidewalk cafe and finished it before we knew it. Seafood isn’t always my favorite, but fideuà was delicious!
