When I saw snow for the first time, I fell in love and knew I wanted to experience more of it.
When the time came to decide on which country to travel to for study abroad during my junior year, I automatically knew where I wanted to go. Because I'm adopted, I took a DNA test to learn about my background and found out I had Scandinavian ancestry. That made me want to learn more about the region. It was just a matter of finding the right program that would fit both my country of interest and my area of study. Eventually, all of the pieces fell into place and I was able to go to Sweden. I loved every minute of it. It was heartbreaking to have to come home halfway through my experience, but I have learned to cherish the memories I made. Hopefully, my experience won’t be repeated with future travelers in terms of the onset of a pandemic, but nonetheless my biggest takeaway from the whole experience is that I would like to go back to Sweden and continue where I left off! I look forward to sharing my time there with all of you!
