Of course, a major part of Korean culture is its enormous influence in the global media. While Korean dramas certainly have their niche in the U.S.A., it's K-Pop that has taken the world by storm. Acts such as Blackpink, EXO, Twice and BTS have made over billions of dollars in revenue, as well as garnering much interest in the West.
As a fan of BTS myself, I made a point to travel to the HYBE Insight Museum, a 50,590 square foot facility documenting the accomplishments of acts under the HYBE label. Located in the basement of HYBE headquarters, HYBE Insight garners international attention. While the groups Seventeen and Tomorrow X Together are highlighted, the star of the facility is, of course, BTS.
To call the facility impressive is an understatement. Over the course of the two hour tour, guests are guided through a series of interactive exhibits, including virtual tours of producers’ studios and a grand showcase of various awards HYBE artists have won over the years. Detailed choreography walkthroughs and pieces of memorabilia are displayed in a manner that left me amazed.
