Sometimes people say that if you’re talking about the weather it’s because you just don’t have anything else to talk about. That’s not true in Cali. The weather really is sometimes remarkable enough to want to talk about! Bonding over our suffering in the heat is a daily practice here, because it is so hot in Cali.
Cali is often called the “land of eternal summer.” That’s what makes this region special. With the exception of a rainy season that lasts a month or two, Cali is all summer heat, all the time. The temperature is almost always between 66 - 85 degrees Fahrenheit.
The dry, tropical climate here is great for tropical plants and animals, but people have adapted to the environment here as well. Since Cali is a big city, the city has had lots of trees planted all around. Palms line the streets and provide sweet shade when you're out and about. The great public transit system helps minimize the time people have to spend waiting outside in the sun, too.
