Most Korean meals are cooked right in front of you! For this meal, the waitress brought over all the ingredients for the stew and turned on the stove at our table. We waited for the water to boil, and added the vegetables, dumplings, rice cakes, and then finally, the noodles. When it's ready, the youngest person at the table serves everyone.
There are local veggies used in the stew. Also, kimchi tastes different depending on where you are in Korea. In my province, I love the kimchi. At orientation when I was in a different province, however, it was not as tasty.
