Interview: Mr. Wan!

I go to the cinema almost every week. I like horror, thriller and fantasy movies, and TV shows the most! I’ll also go on the Internet for entertainment and I like to read in my free time. 

What language(s) do you speak? How do you say "Hello" in your language?:

English, Malay and a bit of Arabic. In Malay, it’s “hello” or “hai” (pronounced just like “hi”). In Arabic, hello is “marhabaan.”

Do you have pets?:

Of course. Cats! I have around 12 cats in my house right now, excluding the ones that I am feeding outside of the house. I adore them very much, they’re like my own kids! 

UPLift Prompt: Malaysia has many stray animals including cats and dogs. These animals do not always get the food, shelter or care that they need -- what should the community do to help these animals?

Have you traveled? Where have you traveled to?:

Yes, I have! So far, only to Thailand and Indonesia. Bali, Indonesia is hands-down my most favorite place that I’ve visited so far; I may go again soon!

What do you do for work?:

I’m an English teacher for Forms 2 and 3 which is ages 14-15 year-old students. 

Is there anything else you would like to say to students in the United States?:

Stay in school and stay out of trouble!
