The farthest I traveled this week was to a placed called Chia, which is located in the countryside north of Bogotá. It's two hours away from where I live. I volunteer at a foundation there called the Santa Maria Foundation, which teaches girls how to play an instrument and speak English! I help with the English part.
I have travelled 2,434 miles from Philadelphia, where I live in the U.S. I am currently 2,495 miles from your class in the Bronx!
I walk most of the time. I am able to walk to my job and the grocery store. However, I take the bus when I go to volunteer at the Santa Maria Foundation in Chia. I need to take three different buses, and I travel over two hours in each direction to get there!
I visited a new bakery this week. (I love sweets!) I tried a pastry filled with bocadillo (guava jam/jelly). They are sometimes also filled with cheese. It sounds a little strange, but it was delicious!
