Bread, Meat and Beer!

Introduction:

My roommates and I went out to dinner at Cafe Louvre for a typical Czech meal one night. There were four different options on the menu, all consisting of variations on meat with sauce and dumplings. The most common meat to find here is pork, but there are other options too. There aren't many traditional Czech meals that are vegetarian, however: the most common non-meat meal is fried cheese served with french fries!

What food did I try?:

I tried the braised beef with creamy sauce, which included cranberry source and bread dumplings. I was really excited to have the bread dumplings, and I figured the cream sauce would pair nicely with them. It cost 199 crowns, which is approximately $9. I find this to be very cheap especially as a dinner price in the city center of Prague, which is the capital city of Czechia!

How did I feel when I tried it?:

I thought it was interesting, as a lot of the food tends to be sweeter than I'm used to! Even when I get meals with sauerkraut, here, it is sweet! I wouldn't necessarily order it again, but I am happy that I tried it. There are more variations to try too!

How is the food prepared?:

As mentioned before, most Czech dishes consist of a meat, sauce, and dumplings.
