The weather this week has been incredibly foggy, rainy and cold. Every morning, the town is covered in a thick layer of fog that barely lifts throughout the day. It is so foggy that you cannot even see five feet in front of you, making everything feel quiet and mysterious. The rain has been steady and constant, leaving the streets muddy and the air damp. It has definitely been a week for warm jackets, hot drinks and staying bundled up as much as possible. There has also been lots of time inside with my host family watching silly TV shows!
I saw the usual animals that I always see at site. Lots and lots of dogs—I have made it a point to become friends with all of the dogs in my town. I even started buying dog treats so they would be friendlier with me. At this point, whenever I go on my daily walk, I have a whole parade of dogs following behind me.
I have also seen a large number of sheep in the soccer field near my house.
