Daily Life of My Japanese Tutor

Introduction:

I have been meeting my Japanese tutor, Mayu, for the past two months to practice my Japanese and prepare for tests. We meet every Wednesday after class in the school cafe where I buy lunch and coffee. I interviewed her after our regular sessions on Monday since it would be our last meeting due to the end of the semester.

Where do you live? What is your house like?:

Fukoshima, in Fukoshima prefecture. I live in a one-story traditional-style Japanese house.

What is your family like?:

I have two older siblings, a sister and a brother. Both of them are married and have their own families now. My mother is a regular housewife, but she loves to cook. She is very social and likes hosting gatherings. My dad is the opposite. He enjoys quiet time and driving his car around the neighborhood.

How do you get around?:

I get around by bus mostly. The bus has set times it is scheduled to arrive, and the buses always arrive on time.

What types of clothing do you like to wear?:

I like to dress in practical and casual attire. I like the Helly Housen brand, it's Norwegian, and it is great for the wintertime.
