Nature News

What was the coolest thing I saw in nature this week?:

Returning to the lab this week I ran into my friends Sham and Mona, who were cleaning out the experimental nest chambers outside of our SEATRU (Sea Turtle Research Unit) office. Sifting through the sand, they found one hatchling (baby) sea turtle remaining in the nest chamber. Before they released the little sea turtle, we were able to wish the hatchling well for his or her long journey in the ocean.

Other Nature News from this week:

Nature is everywhere! Because the weather is so hot, my roommate and I leave the windows open most days and nights. But an open window can be an open door for all sorts of little creatures looking for shelter. While staying in the hostel (dormitory), my roommate and I have hosted house geckos, butterflies, moths and beetles.
