From Tangier to Bahia Brazil this week we have traveled a little over four thousand miles!
So far on this journey, I have traveled around 7,000 miles from the Netherlands to where I am now. This is including the 40 hours of driving through Morocco—from Tangier to the Sahara Desert, on to Marrakech, and back to Tangier. It also accounts for all the walking, driving and train rides I’ve taken in each country along the way.
This week was pretty light in terms of having to get around since I spent most of my time on the ship. The walk to class from my cabin only takes about three minutes, and the pool is just another two minutes from there. Everything is so close that it’s easy to head straight to the pool or gym right after class.
The most interesting place I have ever visited would have to be the equator when we crossed it on Neptune Day, which marked my very first time entering the Southern Hemisphere. However, I am even more excited to arrive in Brazil tomorrow to explore Salvador Bahia. Then we’ll go to the Península de Maraú to explore the historic city and go surf!
