I was scared to eat something that can also be called a blood sausage, but I figured if it was also fried it couldn't be too bad. It was pretty tasty! Breakfast is usually a meal I skip due to lack of time, but this meal made me think about trying to wake up earlier in order to make myself a nice meal to start the day!
The food is typically prepared in kitchens. I have not noticed as many food carts in London as there are in New York, and I've also noticed the food is a bit blander than the spicy food I'm used to eating.
I've found that food is connected to the environment because of long-standing British traditions. Afternoon tea was introduced to England by Anna, the seventh Duchess of Bedford, back in 1840. Anna would become hungry in the afternoon because dinner was not served in her house until 8:00 p.m. She started taking tea and snacks in her bedroom and eventually invited friends to have tea with her. Fish and chips became popular in England because of how fast and cheap the meal was. Fish and chips were usually wrapped in newspaper, making it easily transportable for workers during the industrial revolution who did not have that much time to grab a bite to eat.
