Conversation with Professor Rafa Vega

I don't like fashion. I don't like to take big decisions about what I'm going to wear. I don't have style. I know that I don't want to be concerned about it, it's not a concern for me.

I understand that for some people, clothing is a way to communicate, to feel their own identity. For me, it's like plain, no patterns, no colors. If I wear something with colors, it's because it's a present that someone gave me. But I don't want to make big decisions about clothing.

What do you like to do in your free time?:

I love running. This is mostly what I do. And I also love my home. I learned gardening recently, so I love taking care of plants. It's really good for me because, you know, stress from TV. So it gives me a calm and easy life. So gardening, watering the plants, taking care, it's really good. I love that.

What language(s) do you speak? How do you say "Hello" in your language?:

¡Hola! is one way we say "hello" in Spanish.

Sometimes I realize that, I think living in Sevilla, I speak more English than Spanish! Because with my girlfriend, she's German, we speak in English. So at home, I speak in English. And when I'm teaching here, mostly I speak in English.

Well, our class is in Spanish, but the other classes are in English. Of course I also speak in Spanish here. But most of my interactions during the day are in English. Students, other professors, my partner.
