La Fête des Lumières

The Festival of Lights (La Fête des Lumières) is an annual event that takes place in Lyon, France to celebrate a time in the 1600's when the city was spared from a large disease outbreak.

Beautiful images were projected on different buildings throughout the city.
The images on the buildings were spectacular and they were also paired with music!
There were also different exhibits with lights projected onto different objects. The ones here were meant to represent fields of grain.
There were also puppets that were controlled by people on the ground. These dancing puppets changed colors as lights were shown up at them.
In one area of the city there were large sculptures that looked like chandeliers.
It wasn't just the buildings that were used in the festival. In this picture, lasers were projected on of the fountains.
On the last night, tons of candles were released on the river!
