Everyday, I am able to observe Italian kids' lives here in Rome because I live with one! My host sister Giulia (pronounced like "Julia") is 15 years old and in her first year of high school. I interviewed her (in Italian), so you all can learn a little more about what it is like to be a kid growing up in Rome!
For breakfast, I just eat a granola bar because I have to get to school early in the morning. For lunch, I come home so I eat whatever my mom cooks. I usually eat rice or pasta and vegatables for lunch. Because my mom is vegetarian, I eat a lot of vegatarian food, too. For dinner, we also eat a lot of rice, pasta and vegatables. Sometimes we have soup as a first course and fresh fruit after dinner. And sometimes my mom will make lasagna!
My house is an apartment. It feels small sometimes, but compared to my friends' homes, it is bigger. Our apartment has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen and a living room.
I set the table and clear the table for dinner. My mom says I need to do more chores, but I'm busy with homework!
