A 1000 mL (or 16 oz?) water bottle costs about 850-950 colones, which is about $1.50. However, Costa Rica is one of the few countries in Latin America that has potable water; therefore, I don't often have to go and buy water and can, instead, drink it straight from the tap.
My best meal was pinto gallo, the Costa Rican's classic of rice and beans. I pretty much have the same breakfast every morning. And since I'm a picky and small eater, I skip lunch and have a big dinner. And those dinners are always the best.
Shout out to my host mom, Gueru, for always making the best dishes!
Unfortunately, I have been listening to my own music as I still need personal recommendations for Costa Rican music! I don't really explore other music, as I listen to my favorite songs in cycles for a long time. My current jam is Cold by Marc. E Bassy, and Buddy, which I definitely think fits my mood here in Costa Rica!
Since it was Super Bowl Sunday, some of my friends and I went to a restuarant called La Calleja, which is owned by one of our program directors. We invited some of our Tico (a term that refers to the locals in Costa Rica) friends and practiced our conversations while enjoying the game! This event was laid back, and I typically enjoy those types of activities more!
