Hello! Hola! Xin Chao!
My name is Lily Hoang and I was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. For the past twenty-one years of my life, I grew up in a neighborhood called the Southside, which included families of cultures from all around the world. Growing up in a Vietnamese family of immigrants and living within a diverse local community, my curiosity about the global world became an important influence in my passion and endeavors. My love for learning and understanding other cultures has deeply integrated with my beliefs as a student studying to be a future medical practitioner. One of my goals is to become a reliable leader and compassionate role model for students of my background.
Currently, I’m a third-year student at the University of Louisville where I’m majoring in Biology and Anthropology on the pre-med track while also pursuing a Spanish minor. I love to do art, play with my dog, volunteer at local community events, and go on various adventures in my spare time! I’m always open-minded to learning new things, especially if it’s related to human health, the environment, and social justice!
I hope our journey together will be memorable and will allow you all to grow as curious travelers! Hasta luego!
