Welcome to Colombia!

I love to share those field and lab experiences with as many people as possible. For the last five years, I’ve driven a bus full of my favorite types of science tools all around New York City to work with thousands of young scientists who make their very own discoveries. My favorite type of scientific tool is called a microscope, and it allows me to look very closely at insects and understand more about how they live. My job is currently as a “Community Scientist,” and I help to facilitate an important collaborative type of science that values everyone’s contributions and opens the chance for more people to participate in the process of science. I’ve brought some microscopes with me to Colombia and I am especially excited to share up-close views of very special insects that have a vital role in this environment.
