Interview with Ely and Adry

What chores do you have at home?:

Adry: I help my mom wash the dishes, keep my room organized, sweep the living room and tidy the living room.

What jobs do your parents have?:

Adry: My dad is an electician. He fixes everything with lights and cables. My mom is a fashion designer who fixes garments, makes lots of clothing designs and sews dresses, shirts, and pants.

What time does school start, and what time do you go home?:

Ely: My clases start at 7:30 am and end at 1:30 pm.

How do you get to school? Are you allowed to go to school by yourself?:

Adry: I take the school bus. I come back on my route at 3:45 pm. They drop me off at the church, and I head down to the my house, walking. 

Where do you eat lunch? What is your favorite food?:

Ely: I eat lunch in my house, and my favorite food is breaded shrimp.

What language do you speak at school? How do you say "Hello" in your language?:

Adry: During my classes I speak Spanish, and during my English class, English. We say, Hola, ¿cómo estás? (Hello, how's it going?)

What are some common kids' names at your school?:

Ely: They are Matias, Daniel, Joaquín, Sofia, and Sawyer. 

What subjects do you study in school, and which one is your favorite?:

Ely: I study English, language, math, art, computing and robotics. My favorite subject is art.  

What is your homework like?:

Adry: It’s just like normal homework.
