Hello! My name is Logan Kim. I am going into my fourth year at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where I study neuroscience and Russian language.
I first began studying Russian because I was interested in Russian literature. I learned that at UCLA, completing a Russian Literature minor requires learning elementary Russian, so I enrolled. My first language class was intense, but interesting and rewarding. Two years later, I am still studying Russian language and have added it as my minor, and now here I am in Kazakhstan.
I will spend the next two months in Almaty, Kazakhstan, taking classes at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, practicing Russian and learning about Kazakh culture. I'm looking forward to exploring the country, and I'm even more excited to share my journey and experiences with you all!
