For one of my classes, I did an interview with the whole class. Everyone loved answering the questions and sharing their ideas! The students I interviewed are in 11th grade, generally about 16-17 years old. They attend a high school in the capital city, Tirana.
For breakfast many of us eat simple foods, like cereal or eggs, and sometimes a small snack. Lunch and dinner are usually eaten at home. We eat soup, beans, meat, fish or salad. Eggs are also very common for dinner! Some students are fasting for Ramadan, so they only eat after sunset.
Most of us live in apartments, although some students live in villas or private houses. Apartments are very common, and many families share them with siblings and parents. A typical home might have two bedrooms and an open layout where the kitchen and living area are connected. Many apartments also have balconies.
At home we help with chores like vacuuming, washing dishes and hanging clothes outside to dry. Because many homes have balconies, clothes are often dried outside instead of in a dryer. Helping around the house is a normal part of daily life.
