This week, I have been listening to a playlist called "Argentina Top 50" which consists of mostly reggaeton, Spanish rap and even some American songs, such as Flowers by Miley Cyrus. This playlist helps me know what the general population of Argentina is listening to which helps me connect with the local people better!
This week, I got to visit the River Plate stadium. River Plate is a club soccer team in Buenos Aires that is very famous and known for its rivalry with another team in the city called Boca Juniors. It is extremely difficult to get tickets to an actual game so I settled for just getting to be in the soccer stadium and seeing this very influential part of the Buenos Aires culture.
This week, I started to read a book from the Ateneo bookstore, one of the prettiest bookstores in the world. I got a book of poems in Spanish!
This week while we waited for our plane, my friends and I played the Down by the Banks by the Hanky Pank game, but our Argentinian friend sang the Spanish version of it for us!
Other news from this week is that I have midterms, so I have been studying for exams in all my classes. An essential part of studying abroad is the school part. Traveling and getting to explore is fun, but it is also necessary to focus on classes and school!
