Chào (Hello) global learners! My name is Lynna Vo, and I’m 22 years old. I was born and raised in Connecticut, the third smallest state in the United States. Even though it’s small, Connecticut is full of cool things, and it has all four seasons: winter, spring, summer, and autumn. My favorite season is fall because the leaves turn bright red, orange, and yellow.
In my free time, I love kayaking on the lake near my house, playing card and board games, making arts and crafts, cooking yummy food, and singing.
I went to the University of Connecticut, also called UConn (Go Huskies!). I studied Elementary Education for my bachelor’s degree and Curriculum and Instruction for my master’s degree.
I decided to travel to Vietnam because I love exploring new places and learning from new people. Something very special is that my parents were both born in southern Vietnam before moving to the United States. Living and teaching here helps me connect to my family’s history and culture.
Now I live in Thanh Hóa, Vietnam, the northernmost province in central Vietnam. I teach English at a university and a primary school. So far, I have explored so many yummy foods, including local specialties, celebrated local holidays, and visited beautiful places around Thanh Hóa. I am so excited to share my adventures with you, including all the stories, people, and fun experiences I discover along the way!
