This week I went very far (over 100 kilometers) while attending various meetings in the community and performing elephant surveys.
I travel a lot each week. Over the last six months, I've traveled thousands of kilometers in and around this part of Kenya.
This week I drove our research vehicle. We are lucky that our four-wheel-drive vehicle just got fixed, because we got stuck in muddy areas twice and were able to get out.
This week I visited the village of Itinyi, which lies on the border of a community ranch on a high plain.
The roads are tough right now because there has been so much rain, so some spots you have to go around or avoid. Next week I get to visit Kilifi on the Indian Ocean for a seminar!
