My Daily Life in Costa Rica

Is there anything else you would like to say to students in the United States?:

I would like to say to my students to follow their passions in life. Doing what you love and then working isn’t really work; it's more like getting paid to have fun and do what you love. Be curious, ask questions, explore the world (this is the first of many countries I will end up visiting and working in) and don’t be afraid to take chances. Sometimes it is scary, and you will struggle (I did my first week here; I was very homesick), but these struggles and challenges will only make you a stronger and better person. Plus experiencing different cultures, people, places and things will help expand your knowledge and give you memories and experiences you’ll never forget. I’ve made friends and contacts with people here in Costa Rica who I will continue to keep in touch with after this internship is over. I took a chance to come to work and learn and I can honestly say I don’t regret it. I also hope to inspire some of you to work in the science field, especially with wildlife, whether it is as a biologist, conservationist, zoologist, veterinarian, resource manager or any other line of wildlife science work. I hope that you enjoyed learning about my daily life here in Costa Rica and what I love doing.
