One way this dish is connected to the environment is because it is served with rice and other seasonings that grow in Thailand such as lemongrass. Also, this curry dish is said to be inspired by Indian food. India is quite close to Thailand, and hundreds of years ago, travelers from India to Thailand brought Indian styles of curry with them. Thai people liked it so much they adopted green curry and other types of curry into their own dishes. So, while Thai curries are not the same as Indian curries, they are similar because of the basic spice formula!
