Thai language is the most common language spoken in Chiang Mai. But many people can also speak English or Karen. Karen is a language spoken by the Karen people, a group native to Thailand. Thai money is called the baht. Baht can come in coins or paper bills like American money. The bills of baht have pictures of the King of Thailand. His name is very long, it's Maha Vajiralongkorn, so most people call him Rama 10.
